First Blog

Well I've always gone against the grain, except in woodwork where doing so can result in pain and or the use of explicit language both of which I'm unfortunately to friendly with. So after buying my first DSLR, a Sony Alpha 200 a few years back and then adding a few lenses, I ended up stuck on and stuck with Sony. I won't get into why I think it is better than Canon or Nikon, I will leave those brand disciples to wage that war against each other which they do very well. I just feel comfortable with Sony cameras and find them very tech smart and easy to use. I have since upgraded the 200 body to an Alpha 55 and have also purchased an NEX 3 with a wide angle and 18mm to 55mm lenses. It is in one word an amazing bit of kit and I have had a lot of fun with it. Since starting a BA in Photography in Griffith College Dublin in September 2011 I have also started using my Canon EOS old school film camera again and hope to hell my skills on it improve pretty fast;

So my intention with this blog is to show that there are more than two makes of camera and that Sony is a fun, inexpensive and very technical way of entering photography.
